Meet the Team
Vighetti & Associates Sports Physical Therapy began as a component of The Refinery Athletic Club in 2012. In September 2014, with owner Steve Vighetti, we became an independent company. At that time, Kirsten Heath was brought on as a manual and Orthopaedic-based Therapist to help with the growing demand by patients. Most recently, Leven Potter has added her talent to the therapy staff in 2024.
Steve Vighetti - PT, DPT, MTC, FAAOMPT, CSCS, IDN-Cert
Steve Vighetti is the owner of Vighetti & Associates Sports Physical Therapy in St. Augustine, Florida. With nearly three decades of clinical experience, he helps patients recover from orthopedic injuries, improve performance, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College, his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, and his transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, a certified manual therapist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and certified in intramuscular dry needling.
His approach combines hands-on treatment, individualized exercise, and patient education. Through dedicated, one-on-one appointments, Steve takes time to understand each patient’s goals and develop a practical plan for recovery and lasting progress. He also brings extensive experience teaching and mentoring physical therapy students and clinicians.
A former collegiate soccer player and longtime distance runner with a marathon PR of 2:46, Steve has a particular interest in running mechanics, sports rehabilitation, and helping athletes train effectively. He developed the Refine Your Run program to connect detailed movement analysis with individualized training recommendations.
Outside the clinic, Steve enjoys spending time with his children, Owen and Amelie, supporting their pursuits in soccer and dance, traveling, and being outdoors with his dogs.
Leven Potter - PT, DPT
Leven Potter is a Floridian, right down to her degrees. She grew up in Stuart Beach, FL and graduated with cum laude distinction at Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with high honors from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2019. Leven specializes in the treatment of orthopedic injuries and has special interests for patients with shoulder, knee, and spine dysfunction. Leven has completed McKenzie training of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and advanced coursework in the rehabilitation of the overhead athlete. Additionally, she excels in identifying and correcting faulty movement patterns that could lead to tissue injury.
Outside of the clinic, Leven enjoys competing in local triathlons and open water swimming events. She swam competitively throughout her high school and undergraduate career and served as captain for two years. As a swimmer and seeker of fitness related activities, Leven strives to help others achieve their highest possible performance level injury free. Her other passions include surfing, road biking, community involvement, and hopes to visit every U.S national park with her husband.

Megan Dickerson - PT, DPT, OCS, MTC
Megan Dickerson is originally from New Jersey and attended Lehigh University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2012. While at Lehigh she was a four-year member and two-year captain of the Lehigh University Dance Team and enjoyed teaching dance and gymnastics at local dance studios and summer camps in her spare time. She then moved to Florida to attend the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016.
After graduating, Megan worked for Drayer Physical Therapy Institute where in addition to working with a variety of orthopedic conditions, she also specialized in sport-specific physical therapy and injury prevention for gymnasts & dancers. She treated gymnasts on site weekly at North Stars Gymnastics Academy and provided injury prevention clinics and physical therapy to multiple other gyms, dance studios and girls soccer teams throughout the area. She completed the Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine in 2018 and most recently became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
In addition to practicing at Vighetti & Associates Sports Physical Therapy, she also is a contributing faculty member at University of St. Augustine in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and enjoys staying active and spending time outside.
